As part of our program, you will have the opportunity to apply for one of the following roles:
Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer, you will work autonomously in enterprise agile teams to build out next-generation technology solutions for projects such as 5G, Open-Source Initiatives, Software Defined Networking, Microservices, Automation and Cloud solutions. You will interpret a description of a software feature from an end user's perspective, determine the best designed solution, code, and method to test. You will also demo the user story solution for the software's product owner, gather their feedback and make any needed adjustments. You will participate in daily meetings to communicate their progress and impediments with their team as well as to divide up new user stories. If you are passionate about coding and like to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, we are the place to be! Our preferred languages and frameworks include Java, SQL, NoSQL, Python, React, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, Cloud Computing, and HTML/CSS.
Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst, you will use your deep analytical skills, knowledge of data manipulation, data visualization, data modelling, artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation to break down business problems, provide business insights and predict outcomes. Your efforts will help influence customer satisfaction and could generate millions in potential savings and revenue. Your solutions could influence everything from fleet optimization, supply chain, product development, customer equipment issues, energy efficiency and content analytics and marketing – often before the problem ever occurs. With ongoing skill and collaboration, you will stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in the field of data analytics. This is your chance to gain experience and stand out by gaining access and making an impact using some of the largest data sets on the planet. Are you curious to learn and willing to get your hands dirty with data? Desired skills for this role include strong written communication, experience organizing, manipulating and sanitizing data, ability to use data structures and algorithms in the development of data models and scripts, knowledge and expertise in analyzing and/or writing clean code using programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, experience delivering data-driven insights through visualizations, translating technical terms to others, exposure to big data management and analytics and knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, techniques and tools.
Technical Business Manager
As a Technical Business Manager, you will focus on driving measurable business and financial impacts to AT&T. You will contribute to AT&T’s transformation by bringing a breadth of experience with leadership, innovation, business, technology, project and product management, and software development/design to drive initiatives forward. By bringing a solid foundation in technology, you will effectively navigate critical initiatives at AT&T, gaining the multi-disciplinary perspective required to be a future leader within our business while also growing a core set of skills you will need to make an impact as an individual contributor in a range of areas. These areas include developing use cases, managing financials, analyzing data, automating processes, creating reports, developing participating in ideation and innovation sessions, supporting technical product marketing initiatives, and improving the customer experience through technology. You will have opportunities to present complex technical solutions to both management and technical teams. Desired skills for this role include understanding of Agile, Scrum and DevOps processes, strong leadership skills in a technology-focused environment, ability to translate technical details into common terms as well as experience preparing oral, written, and visual communications and highly matured analysis skills in a business and/or technology context.
Systems & DevOps Engineer
As a Systems & DevOps Engineer, you will have a front row seat to the platforms and technologies that enable AT&T’s digital transformation. As one of the world’s largest enterprises to move to software as a service (SaaS) technology, our Systems & DevOps engineers develop, configure, maintain, and continuously improve the platforms used by our application developers, network engineers and business users to deliver results efficiently every day. You will dive deep and gain hands-on experience in one or many Operational Support Systems (OSS) such as ONAP (open-sourced orchestration engine for software-defined networks) as well as Business Support Systems (BSS) such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and one of the largest Microsoft Azure Public Clouds in the world. With a focus on solving problems through automation, you will use your knowledge in software engineering and operating systems to write scripts, configure software, engineer data migrations, ensure security, automate deployment, testing, and network processes, or enhance team velocity through CI/CD practices. If you are interested in gaining deep, hands-on experience with large software ecosystems, and if you are interested in learning how systems and platforms operate at an enterprise scale, this is the position for you! Systems and DevOps engineers enjoy a curiosity for cloud-based platforms and tools, have working experience in administering networks, databases and/or operating systems such as Linux, interest in technology architecture, interest with low-code development platforms and scripting languages, as well as current experience in software development languages such as Java, SQL, and HTML/CSS.
Network Engineer
As a Network Engineer, you will spend your time partnering with the group responsible for the architecture, engineering, and operation of AT&T’s outstanding wireless and fiber-based networks. You will be creating, communicating, and implementing plans for voice, video, and data technologies to take AT&T to the next generation of automated self-managed networks. This group is our boots on the ground, and the foundation of AT&T’s business and legacy. By providing you with a wide breadth of technical and leadership experiences, connecting you with our strongest managers, along with exposure to executive leaders, our focus is to develop the technical leaders of tomorrow’s network. In this role you may be planning future cell locations for the latest Wireless 5G network, managing high-capacity router network growth, or creating the optical fiber build plans that enable broadband to stream video. To do this you will be analyzing data, working with vendors, and transforming information into a story, plan, and status, you can communicate to cross functional teams and leaders to help drive key decisions and keep complex projects on track. Network Engineers are curious and multiskilled. Desired skill sets for this role include the ability to be comfortable with at least one programming language; data analysis techniques for data retrieval, manipulation, and visualization; a good understanding of automation fundamentals; knowledge and understanding of financials; and the ability to translate technical details into common terms.

Technology Development Program Full-Time
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Inclusive of degrees meeting federal STEM classification codes.
Our Technology Development Program managers earn between $70,100 - $140,200 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Our Technology Development Program interns earn between $52,600 - $105,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting pay within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
