About the program

Accounting program:

You will work with like-minded individuals and have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our top accounting decision-makers and executives. You will gain insight into how managers lead, inspire and ensure company growth.

Accounting roles:

Program participants will work in diverse roles across corporate accounting in the controller, tax, audit and treasury divisions.

Skills development:

We provide customized curriculum and development plans to help you gain an edge while you learn about the different areas of corporate accounting alongside others who are as driven as you.

Mentorship:

Take advantage of mentoring opportunities, roundtable discussions and leadership learning experiences. Everything you do here will strengthen your ability to contribute to our innovation pipeline.

Accounting Leadership Development Program

Full-Time Experience

If you want to utilize accounting to create real change in an ever-expanding, connected world, this program was made for you. Ready to develop life-changing ideas? It starts with you.

As a full-time participant in the ALDP, you’ll earn $75,000 annually. AT&T also provides health insurance, paid time off, discounts on products and services and other amazing perks.

  • A results-driven self-starter who works effectively in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • A lifelong learner who’s naturally curious about AT&T innovations.

Co-Op Experience

Our team is fueled by a passion to provide innovative solutions and driven to connect the world in meaningful ways. Ready to develop life-changing ideas? It starts with you.

ALDP co-ops earn $25 an hour and have access to amazing AT&T perks and benefits.

You are:

  • Working toward a master’s degree in accounting (earned by June 2026).
  • Ready to work at least 20 hours per week.
  • A results-driven self-starter who works effectively in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • A lifelong learner who’s naturally curious about AT&T innovations.
  • This job is located in Dallas, Texas.

Joining our Accounting Leadership Development Program means you’re part of a team designed with your potential in mind. You’ll complete two different 12- month rotations, gaining exposure to a variety of accounting disciplines while making an impact through your work in AT&T;’s accounting and finance organizations. We’ll provide the development, mentoring, and networking opportunities you need to gain an edge, while you learn about corporate finance and accounting across our business alongside others who are just as driven as you. In fact, you’ll collaborate directly with our top financial decision makers and executives, gaining experience and insight into how they lead.

As part of our program, you’ll have the opportunity to work in teams to prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts, analyze monthly financial reporting, and effectively communicate results to your managers and senior leaders. You’ll manage the legal entity monthly reporting process and collaborate with other groups (Tax, Treasury, Finance) as well as utilize your accounting and analytical knowledge to implement more effective and efficient monthly processes. In this role you’ll work through complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. In our ever-changing business and industry, you will be involved in providing accounting support for complex Merger & Acquisition activity and the implementation of new applicable ASC regulatory changes. Our organization utilizes Oracle for recording ledger activity and HFM for consolidated reporting.

We’re seeking someone with integrity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of leadership. We value results-driven self-starters who can work effectively in multi-disciplinary environments and throughout cross-functional teams. A lifelong learner who is naturally curious about the many innovations being fostered at AT&T; every day.

About your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Math, or another quantitively-oriented degree
  • 2+ years of relevant analytics work experience
  • Experience working with extremely large datasets in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and fluid start-up environment
  • Experience leading small team and delegating responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable passion to dig into terabytes of data and quickly construct tools
  • Experience with data visualization and using data to tell a story
  • Preferred: Mastery of SQL and Python (NumPy, Pandas);
  • Proven excellence at formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine problems
  • Outstanding organization and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
