In this role you will be part of a high performing agile team that provides application development and support for the Cricket Wireless Point of Sales (POS) Aktivate platform. The Aktivate platform supports sales and service transactions at over 4,600+ retail locations and for 20,000+ sales advocates  nationwide.  

As a Professional - Software Engineer, you will gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. The core responsibility of this role is application development utilizing various programming languages/frameworks (NodeJS, Java, Python, Angular, React, Cassandra, HTML, CSS, JS). This role also requires the development of automated tests utilizing acceptance criteria as a baseline. In addition to unit testing, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

They will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages/frameworks (NodeJS, Java, Python, Angular, React, Cassandra, HTML, CSS, JS).
  • Create and execute automated tests utilizing acceptance criteria and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field like IT, Engineering, etc. is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an application developer.
  • Proven collaboration and negotiations skills in a technical complex software delivery and technical platform environment.
  • Excellent Oral and Written skills in a large-scale corporate environment.
  • Experience in Java, HTML, JS, CSS and NodeJs.
  • Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular and Spring is a plus.
  • Experience with AJSC, ANSC in AT&T Eco-system a huge plus.
  • Trained and experience configuring, monitoring and supporting Kubernetes, Docker and Jenkins technology
  • Knowledge of Selenium and other automation test frameworks is a plus.
