The Video and Multimedia Technologies Research in AT&T Labs - Research has an opening for a Senior Inventive Scientist to join the team. The job is focused on research and development in the area of video analytics and machine learning aimed at creating novel and advanced content services such as search, recommendation, personalization, summarization, and content curation.

The candidate’s research and development will include visual and multimedia data analysis, content curation and summarization, big data analytics, and visualization.
The main emphasis is onextracting useful and actionable information from visual and multimedia data, and representing them in the form of descriptors, features, and metadata that enable advanced applications and services. The individual will develop advanced video processing algorithms based on machine learning and computer vision technologies, and create features that serve to differentiate AT&T’s TV and Mobility services.
Education: Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Experience: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Machine Learning and Video Analytics technologies.
