Project Mgr Tech Sr Spec DIRECT LABOR (Fort Riley)

Position located in Fort Riley, KS
Provides technical expertise in developing, deploying, and managing professional services solutions exclusively to Federal Government clients' business needs. on a fee-for service or billable hours basis. Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for a highly complex TECHNICAL program or group of programs. Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs. A minimum of five years Project Management experience Network Project Manager (PM) supporting multi-million dollar Military Base Telecommunications Projects. Ability to engage resources for projects involves outside plant construction, data networking. Outside plant consists of constructing extensive conduit/manhole infrastructure system. Data networking solution involves the installation of routers and switches utilizing the IP protocol over Gigabit Ethernet. Responsible for overseeing all installation logistics, finances and ensuring successful implementation with on site government project manager. He or she will shall manage change orders, provide ongoing project documentation and numerous standard PM deliverables. Manages multiple sub contractors -- must provide strong project leadership to the entire AT&T team.
Required Skills: Minimum of 10 years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, electronics, and project management experience. Must be conversant/have working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, and IP protocols. Must have proven track record of very strong leadership skills, organizational skills. Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word are required. The ideal candidate has a prior military or federal background. US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain clearance.
Desired Skills: B.S. Engineering or Computer Science. Advanced degree is a plus, but experience is paramount. Certifications: Cisco or Foundry certification helpful..
